A Dynamic Warm Up for Dynamic Living! July 25, 2023

Hi! My name is Melissa Frank and I am the new Executive Director of Barrier Islands Free Medical Clinic. I am so excited to be a part of such an amazing organization, and am eager to help expand our services to provide uninsured, low income adults the health care that everyone deserves and needs.

I received my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and I am currently training for my first ever marathon – so this felt like a great opportunity to share with you a few health and wellness tips along the way! In our Clinic video series, One Minute Fit, I’ll be sharing my tips for maintaining a healthy lifestyle while minimizing injury along the way.

Our first video reviews the importance of a dynamic warm up prior to physical activity, along with a few of my favorite active stretches!

As I train for the Chicago Marathon on October 8, I hope to raise awareness about what we do at Barrier Islands Free Medical Clinic! If you would like to make a donation to support our free healthcare services for uninsured adults across Charleston county, please consider making a donation here. All proceeds go to support medical supplies, life saving medications like insulin, and critical screenings and interventions in our clinic.

Find my video below – Thank you!

Melissa Frank, Executive Director
