BIFMC Golf Invitational Date Announced January 2, 2018

Barrier Islands Free Medical Clinic will host its 11th Annual Celebrity Golf Invitational on Monday, May 7, 2018 at The Country Club of Charleston. [CLICK HERE TO REGISTER]

The golf tournament will begin with a luncheon at noon followed by a shotgun start at 12:30pm. A cocktail hour, silent auction, buffet dinner and awards ceremony will take place following the tournament. Additional opportunities to donate to the clinic, including prize contests for putting and holes in one, will be offered during the day’s festivities. Registration for the event is now open.

The 2017 event captured world attention when a large local alligator tagged along. Unfazed by the gargantuan gate crasher, the event brought in over 90 players and raised enough funding to support over 3,000 patient visits. The free clinic treats residents and workers on Johns, James, and Wadmalaw Islands who fall below 200% of the federal poverty limit and do not currently have access to health insurance.
