Introducing ‘Charleston Cares’, The BIFMC Blog August 28, 2016

BIFMC social media copyExciting things are happening at Barrier Islands Free Medical Clinic!

In addition to launching our brand new, easier to navigate website, you can also stay up to date on the latest health news, learn more about our services and volunteers, and follow clinic and community events via our new health and wellness blog, Charleston Cares.

Each week we’ll bring you regular features. Health Check will offer tips to enhance wellness in your daily life; Common Concerns will navigate common health symptoms and questions; Meet Our Clinic will feature interviews with our medical staff and volunteer coordinators; and I [Heart] Recipes will offer quick, heart-friendly snack and meal ideas.

Most importantly, we want to hear from you! Follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and let us know what content you’d like to see more of. You can also email us directly with your questions, thoughts and suggestions.

We hope that our Charleston Cares blog is a chance to create an on-going conversation that enhances the overall health of our community. If you’d like to become more involved or set up an appointment to visit the clinic today, please visit our volunteer opportunities or patient resources pages on the website. You can also call us directly at (843) 266-9800.

…And don’t miss out on our upcoming 10th Annual Lowcountry Wine & Beer Festival to support BIFMC on October 2nd! Tickets can be purchased ahead of the event for $45 at Indigo Books at Freshfields Village, or $45 at the gates the day of the event.

Cheers to good health! We look forward to hearing from you.
