Seabrook’s Racquet Sports Club held its largest annual charity event of the year on Friday, March 25th, to support free health care services at Barrier Islands Free Medical Clinic. The event featured over 60 attendants to raise over $10,000 that will go towards the Clinic’s mission of providing free primary care and over 19 sub specialties to uninsured adults who live or work across the Barrier Islands or who serve the hospitality industry of downtown Charleston. Clinic Director, Brenda Falls, thanked the players and Seabrook community for their continued and enthusiastic support of the area nonprofit that treats over 5,000 adults each year. “We are so grateful to be a part of this giving community who has continuously shown up to support the Clinic and their uninsured neighbors. Thanks to the funds raised at this event, we can provide many more free, high quality screenings, chronic disease management, vaccines and life saving medications to the deserving patients of the Clinic.”
Special thanks to Silent Auction contributors Hutchie and Jerry Cummin, Lilly Pulitzer, J. McLaughlin, and local artist and member of the Seabrook Art Guild, Debbe Falls Finkelstein.
